Miss Korea 2013 Contestants Before and After Surgery

There is a snapshot of compilation showing all of 20 contestants of Miss Korea 2013beauty pageant has gone viral on Reddit, mostly for their remarkably similar facial features.
floating around out there, where they’re photographed as a group without the stage makeup, professionally done hair, or (almost certainly) photoshop. And while they all fit into the same vague standard of beauty, anyone with eyes could tell each of them apart, and they look nothing like their official headshots.

Miss korea 2013 winners

Recently, there is a debate on plastic surgery from the post on Reddit titled “Korea’s plastic surgery mayhem is finally converging on the same face. Here are the miss Korea 2013 contestants.”

Miss korea 2013 plastic surgery

Complaints from the public wonder why all the participants seem to look like clones, thanks to the country and many others, need for a projected image of beauty with little room for new looks. All contestants pictured seem to have dark hair, pale skin, big eyes and thin noses with pointy chins. However, some suggest that plastic surgery may not explain why all these women look so similar.

Perhaps a bit of Photoshop magic is involved, as well. The growing obsession with plastic surgery in South Korea is once again under media scrutiny after pictures of a group of Miss Korea 2013 contestants posted online prompted claims that the Asian country’s craze for cosmetic procedures have left all the aspiring beauty queens looking like clones.

Miss korea 2013 contestant

Why is it that when white beauty queens cake themselves in makeup, spend hours primping to not a hair or panty line is out of place, and hire professional retouchers to make themselves look like Barbie dolls in photos, it’s just run of the mill superficiality, and just how pageants are done, but when South Korean women do literally the exact same thing, it’s an “epidemic” of plastic surgery (do we know if any of these women have even had plastic surgery, and if so, how many and how much? No) and the Asian girls trying to look white.

I’m not sure if anyone has touched on this yet: i recently listened to a podcast of “this American life”, where an American English teacher learned that many of the Korean high school girls get plastic surgery as part of their preparation for college admittance. Korean girls send headshots along with their college applications, and according to them, you will not be accepted if you are not considered “pretty” enough. when the teacher asked what procedures were most popular, they referred to the westernized perception of beauty- fattier eyelids, chiseled jaw and cheek bones, breast implants, etc. it’s apparently more accepted, almost expected, than it is here in the US.

Ji Dan Xu – China’s Beauty Queen and Top Model

I think she is the most beautiful one in the all ,the Chinese girl shows her Intriguing elegance ,and also have good temperament . she has the prefect appearance to do some kind of charities A very pleasant surprise for me from China!

She might be facially behind Luo Zilin (Miss Universe China 2011) but her elegance and finesse is superb. What sealed her placement was her preliminary performance which was just the right amount needed to overcome the first cut.

Ji Dan Xu grew up in JiLin Province where she was raised by her grandmother and 11 cousins. She has been dancing since the age of 6, with a special love for the Flamenco form. She’s played piano since the age of 3 and has competed on a national level. Ji Dan Xu loves traveling, baking, and women’s fashion. One day she hopes to have her own fashion brand.

I see Ji Dan Xu as a tall woman with a touch of elegance with finesse. Love Zilin last year? Well, China will not sit down and let the momentum ever slow down. Diana will be polished, repackaged and shipped to Miss Universe with a seal of quality.

Tereza Chlebovská – Top Model and Beauty Queen

In some angles she reminds me of Malika Menard! there’s something to her that I like, maybe her cheekbones and eyes that make her charismatic anyway, I like her I hope she will improve into a real stunner.

Tereza Chlebovská‘s passions in life involve music. She enjoys dancing, playing the piano, and used to sing. Tereza also likes to play volleyball and other sports with her family. Tereza attended the University Ostrava, where she studied Music and Health. One day she hopes to achieve her dreams of becoming a TV personality, singer, or top model.

I’m starting to like Ceska earth also. statuesque and a blond goddess. She must maintain that kind of hairstyle, it’s more suitable to her beauty. She is a good top 15 contender not favorite for the crown but will surely get a place in the top 15, very photogenic , consistent and charming ! that is what we are looking for.

Her attitude Is very rare to see an European girl in Miss Universe with that kind of charisma! I love how sexy she could be without being vulgar or looking tacky. I watched the final, she was good, but did not outshine. I thought she deserved her victory, but the crown could have gone just as easily to either Linda or the girl who was 1 RU just as easily and no one would have even coughed.

I do, I think she is pretty and lovely etc. but she is not so supreme that all others must just fold up their dreams right now. I think for example that she is not even in the same league as previous Czech representative like Jitka, Iveta and the girl in 2008 forget her name.

Miss USA Olivia Culpo Crowned 2012 Miss Universe

I was right about Miss USA becoming Miss Universe! I predicted right! Not the strongest or prettiest, but definitely the wittiest, like MU 1997. All she needed to do was make it to the final 5 and the crown was hers for the taking.

Miss USA Olivia Culpo Miss Universe 2012

Olivia Culpo Miss Universe 2012

Miss USA Olivia Culpo Miss Universe 2012

Miss USA absolutely deserved to win. Facially speaking, she and Venezuela are better than Miss Philippines.

Based on the answers alone, yes, Miss Philippines deserves to win. But Venezuela did better in both evening gown and swimsuit.
But if you include the walking in the ramp and seeing how USA walks like a guy and trips all over the place, she should have been the top 4 or 5. She’s beautiful. But poise-less and her answer was stupid. She chooses an experience which she regrets (picking on her siblings) then at the end says she doesn’t regret it at all. Why the hell choose it? Rigged. I would have accepted Australia or Philippines in her place.

The top five are Renae Ayris from Australia, Gabriela Markus of Brazil, Janine Tugonon from the Philippines, Olivia Culpo of the US, and Irene Esser of Venezuela.
The top five advanced from the top ten, defeating Miss France Marie Payet, Miss Hungary Miss Agnes Konkoly, Miss Mexico’s Karina Gonzalez, Miss Russia’s Elizabeth Golovanova, and Miss South Africa’s Melinda Barn.

Olivia Culpo – Miss Universe USA 2012

Olivia Culpo, the Miss Universe USA 2012 looks very intelligent and cute the way she reacted to the intentional delay in pronouncing Miss USA winner with her neck turn and a big beautiful casual smile. That really hit me. If she and Miss Alabama were the 2 finalists, it would be more of competition. I wish you well in 2012 Miss Universe Pageant. Who knows…

Olivia Culpo grew up in Cranston, Rhode Island as the middle child of five. With two avid musicians as parents, her and her siblings each studied different instruments throughout their childhood, Olivia’s choice instrument being the cello. Her other interests include movies, museums, concerts, and making people laugh. One day, Olivia hopes to land a career in either film or television.

The USA has captured the Miss Universe crown 7 times in the competition’s 60 year history! Brook Antoinette Mahealani Lee of Hawaii was the last titleholder to do so in 1997. Could Olivia be the next? Olivia Good Luck for Miss Universe Pageant. For me you are the best Miss Usa and from my heart you are the most beautiful woman. And of course you are the Miss Universe 2012

All the best for the Miss Universe pageant I know you’re going to win and am crossing my fingers for you. best wishes…

Miss Philippines and Miss Mexico on Pacquiao – Marquez Match

Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez are set to take each other on for the 4th time on December 8. It is one of the most storied rivalries in boxing with the first three contests all being classic matches ending with razor thin decisions.

On the interview of Pacquiao Vs Marquez fight, The 2 candidate of Miss universe, Miss Philippines Janine Tugonon and Miss Mexico 2012 Karina Gonzales are there to support their boxing champion.

It would be a beautiful sight to see Filipinos rooting for Mexico and Mexicans rooting for the Philippines in the name of sportsmanship, goodwill, and camaraderie.

Mexico and the Philippines can also claim that beauty pageants and boxing are part of the national culture with significant number of fans for both. Will the outcome of the Pacquiao-Marquez fight influence the way the judges look at Janine and Karina? Will it be some sort of preview? What would say if these two ladies are the last two standing? And more importantly, who do you think will win? Pacquiao or Marquez? Janine or Karina?

I love how the Miss Universe is doing this Mexico And Phillipines are the center of attention. Team Mexico Karina is gorgeous and Marquez a great man

Here are some Information about her interview on Miss Earth 2012

What lessons did you learn from your childhood/growing years?
What I learned was “Cherish all creatures” and “Do not waste food.” My parents and grandparents taught me this and is the basis for my opinions. There were a lot of animals at our home. When I found a cat or dog, my family and I looked for someone to take care of them. I learned not to give up until the end, and the importance of taking responsibility. I wrote an essay titled “I Want to Protect the Animals” for my graduation essay when I was in elementary school. That is my dream for the future. Now, as I think about being Miss Earth Japan, I realize that I have been involved in the environmental problems of the Earth, and that is because of the lessons learned in my childhood.

What is your most memorable moment?
My most memorable moment is the Tohoku earthquake and TSUNAMI that occurred on March 11th, 2011. I was waiting for a train at Tokyo Station going to an audition at the moment that it happened. I had never experienced such a big earthquake before and was so afraid that I couldn’t do anything. What I could do at that moment was just return to my apartment and watch the terrible scenes of the earthquake and TSUNAMI on TV. After the earthquake, I was faced with the situation of not being able to find food at supermarkets, non-running trains and electrical power outages. I live in Tokyo by myself so I felt afraid and alone during this period but my neighbors took care of me a lot. The tragedy made me realize how ordinary days are important and full of happiness and how kind people can be. In addition, people all over the world showed their sympathy for us and came to Japan to rescue and support the victims of this difficult situation. I’ll never forget their kindness.

Warratthaya Wongchayaporn Miss Thailand 2012

Even though I love her, at first I was kinda worried that she may appear “too cute” but after seeing her latest pics, and this video, this girl can be really mature and sexy too!!! I won’t mind if she takes it all! Continuing the Asian streak in this year’s grand slam pageants.
Thailand’s official Miss Earth ambassador, Warratthaya Wongchayaporn is in no doubt one of the strongest contenders in this year’s edition of the world’s most relevant environmental-friendly beauty pageant. She’s very beautiful, an asian goddess indeed.

Here are some of the question and answer interview on Miss Earth 2012.

What makes you proud of your country and what can you promote about it?
I am proud of our Thai tradition. Thai people are humble and friendly. Thailand has its own language both in spoken and written. It represents our Thai identity. Thai language is melodious. I will try to bring Thai culture to the stage of Miss Earth. Describe your childhood/growing years: My childhood was like any other children’s at the ages of 8-12. During the day I went to a primary school, played with friends and had fun. When I became 13 there was a slight change in my life. I had to decide where go to a secondary school. It was the first time that I had an opportunity to make my own decision. I decided to move to live with an aunt who lived in other town and go to school there. I have to adjust myself to the new environment, new family, new school, and new friends. Everything went well, I was happy and had a lot of fun. I even took apart in a beauty contest of the school and won a prize which aroused my enthusiasm in joining other school’s activities.

What lessons did you learn from your childhood/growing years?
Being a child from a broken home I’ve learned to take care of myself and be responsible for my younger brothers and sisters. I am a tough and a tolerant person. Life has taught me to be independent and make the best out of it. I try to give my best no matter what I do.
